The back-and-forth dance between Jamal Adams and the Seattle Seahawks front office has finally come to an end. Basically, Adams was waiting for Seattle to put a sexy contract offer on the table.
And they did just that.
It was such a sexy offer, Jamal Adams was like “hell yeah!”
This week, NFL insider Ian Rapoport has reported that Adams and the Seahawks have agreed to a big-time four-year extension worth $70 million. Of that massive sum, $38 million is guaranteed.
Rapoport reports:
The #Seahawks have agreed to terms on a large extension for star S Jamal Adams, a 4-year, $70M deal that makes him the league’s highest-paid safety, I’m told. He gets $38M guaranteed, breaking the stalemate. A long time coming and well-deserved.

With his new deal, Adams is now the highest-paid safety in the game. This was his goal from the start of the contract negotiations.
