CelebNSports247.com has got word via ESPN who has announced the settlement with the New York Giants defensive end on Friday.

ESPN explained that they felt that reporting Jason Pierre-Paul medical records was “newsworthy and journalistically appropriate.”

Apparently it was NOT!

ESPN released this statement:

“ESPN continues to firmly believe that its reporting about Mr. Pierre-Paul’s July 2015 injury, including the use of a medical chart that definitively described the seriousness of the injury and resulting treatment, was both newsworthy and a journalistic appropriate. Despite their different points of view, the parties have agreed to amicably resolve their dispute rather than continue their litigation.”

To recap, back in 2015, we previously reported that Pierre-Paul suffered the loss of part of his right hand after the July 2015 fireworks mishap. ESPN’s Adam Schefter obtained and tweeted photos of his hospital records. Pierre-Paul didn’t take kind to the report so he SLAPPED ESPN and Schefter in a Florida court claiming an invasion of privacy. The tweet violated Florida’s medical privacy statute.

The amount of Jason Pierre-Paul settlement has not been announced by either party.
