CelebnSports247.com reports that Bucs WR Jaydon Mickens was arrested in his hometown of Los Angeles, California on Friday, March 5, when police found a concealed firearm in his car during a traffic stop.
According to reports, Jaydon Mickens’ infraction carries a felony charge for the wide receiver, 26, who emerged last season as the Bucs best kick/punt returner during their Super Bowl Championship season.
Mickens posted bail of $35,000 and is due in court on July 8.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers issued a statement saying:
[We are] aware of the issue regarding Jaydon that occurred in Los Angeles last week. He reached out to let us know about the situation soon after it happened and we have been in contact with the league office to ensure they were aware.
We will continue to monitor the situation but will have no further comment at this time.
Jaydon Mickens is on contract with the Tamp Bay Bucs for one more year and is due to make $920,000 for the upcoming 2021 season. He has served as a key special teamer since. He caught 7 passes for 58 yards this past season.
