The BroncosWire reports:
With Flacco sidelined, Denver will likely start Brandon Allen, who is the only other quarterback on the active roster. Rookie Drew Lock is still on injured reserve and he won’t be eligible to play until two weeks after he returns to practice. Lock will likely practice this week.
With Allen starting, the Broncos will probably promote undrafted rookie Brett Rypien from the practice squad to serve as a backup.
Flacco, 34, has thrown six touchdown passes and five interceptions in eight games this season. Allen, 27, is yet to attempt a pass in a regular-season NFL game.
Joe joins Bradley Chubb who is also out for a period of time.
