Jonathan Kuminga Lands Vulgar Nickname From Warriors Fans!

Nicknames are usually cool, but when your last name is like Jonathan Kuminga you can just imagine how nasty his nickname could be…

CelebnSports247.com has just got word that Jonathan Kuminga, who was drafted No. 7 overall by Golden State in this year’s draft, must hate his nickname.

According to reports, Golden State Warriors fans have created a new nickname for one of their newest players and is Sooo…nasty.

Basically, if you drop the inga from Kuminga and add “bucket” following the Kum you get Kum-bucket. Yes, that is his nickname. It’s so gross, we feel sorry for Jonathan.

A nickname like that will live on through his career which really sucks.

You would think, calling a basketball player a “bucket” is a compliment to their ability to score. But putting it after the first three letters of Kuminga’s last name evokes some unflattering imagery.

As we said, if Kuminga continues to clean up with his development, either he’ll shake the nickname in favor of something else, or the legend will only continue to grow.

However, Kuminga is now playing in the NBA Summer League and looking good so far.
