Josh Norman will remain with the Carolina Panthers for the 2016 season. The only question is whether the two parties can agree to a long-term extension before the year begins.
Currently Darrelle Revis averages just over $14 million a year with the Jets
Darrelle Revis is the highest per-year average for a cornerback in the NFL averaging just over $14 million a year on his contract with the Jets, but Josh Norman wants to blow that number away seeking $16 million a year.
Apparently the Carolina Panthers put the franchise tag on Norman at $13.95 million this year if he signs, but that is NOT good enough for Norman, he is seeking $16 million a year on a long-term contract.

Will it happen?
Norman has indicated he’s in no hurry to get a deal done, saying he wouldn’t report to Organized Team Activities if the Panthers haven’t shown him the money.
We will see how this goes.
As for now, Josh Norman wants the Panthers to show him is significant, so it may be a while before they agree to his terms.
