Kordell Stewart Addresses Gay Rumors "I’m A Straight Man"

CelebnSports247.com reports that Kordell Stewart is defending his sexuality as he speaks on previous rumors that he’s homosexual.

Can we just start by saying if a man is NOT GAY, then he doesn’t have to keep stating that he’s NOT GAY unless he’s trying to do damage control? Do you know what I’m saying?

We previously reported that Kordell told Steve Harvey 4 years ago that the gay rumors were HATE, but he’s talking about it again.

It just feels strange that Kordell Stewart is out here once again telling the world he’s not attracted to another man’s booty!

Anyways, Kordell speaks on About his Sexuality:

Kordell Stewart opened up about accusations against him at the height of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this week.

He said while on The Tamron Hall show that his friend called and told him there were rumors that he was arrested for a “lewd act” allegedly performed on him while in a park and that he was gay.

It’s barbershop talk… He was in the barbershop getting his haircut… I’m like one, when did I ever go to jail? Let alone believe this rumor that’s not true. I’m a straight man. I’ve always been a straight man.

He said in the article that the next day he went to work and the team’s publicist told him the then Pittsburgh Steelers owner, Dan Rooney, wanted to have a conversation with him. Kordell Stewart said he thought he wanted to discuss a recent game loss, but actually wanted to talk about the rumor. Kordell Stewart said he was supportive. Stewart then talked to Bill Cowher, who was the coach at the time.

He looked like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer because his nose was so red and his eyes were so watery. I’m like ‘Coach, what the heck is going on? What is this stuff?’ He’s like ‘I don’t know, kid. I just wanna know how you’re doing.’ I’m like ‘Where do we go from here? How do we handle this?’

He explained:

Let’s be clear, that’s a blue-collar city. My style of playing in that city wasn’t favorable to many. Some may have wanted me to just play the ‘Slash’ role…so when having to deal with that, I couldn’t understand this. Now I have to stand in front of my teammates and address this because it’s something we thought would be good. It was one of the most awkward situations.

An investigation by the Steelers later revealed that a local police officer actually started the rumor.

I was like ‘Huh? Did we get his name?’

He said Rooney knew he was, but to this day he wasn’t been told.

Kordell on The Real Housewives of Atlanta:

Kordell Stewart later reached a broader audience when he and his now ex-wife Porsha Williams appeared on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s fifth season

Their divorce was a key storyline for the show in season six, and Porsha Williams spoke on speculation that he was homosexual.

Kordell said:

[The rumor] Never was the impact [on our marriage] at all. That was true love at the time. Once you get on the show and things are starting to be insinuated from the conversation about a beard to me being controlling, it becomes a whirlwind of things. She has her world that she’s a part of and things that she wants to do for herself to the point where going our separate ways at the time…

He continued and said he has no regrets about doing the show, despite how he was portrayed.
