It appears that Lions CB Darius Slay Defends D’Angelo Russell over the drama in Los Angeles, and he feels like people need to lay off the rookie guard.
Find out more about Lions CB Darius Slay on the flip…
Darius Slay feels that people are just picking on D’Angelo Russell because he is a rookie, and that he is only 20 years old.
Actually we feel his age has nothing to do with it, but Darius Slay feels it does, saying on Periscope:
“This young man ain’t nothing but 20 years old.”
“You all acting like he snitched or something. He didn’t even snitch. His phone leaked the video out or something.”
Yet, as Slay continued his rant, he accidentally called Russell a snitch too.
“There are way more snitches out there than just Russell, you (are) all really throwing that (guy) under the bus?” Slay said. “That man (is) 20 years old, you all could ruin that man’s career. That man got a momma to take care of probably, daddy to take care of, brothers and sisters to take care of. You know, you all trying to dog this man like this man probably can’t go nowhere now. You all are eating this man alive.”
Slay has to understand that an NBA rookie playing in Los Angeles, bringing up a controversial topic about a teammate cheating on one of the biggest female rap stars in the business, is going to garner a large response.
But Slay has a point when it comes to massacring the “bro code,” but did he really do anything wrong?
Iggy Azalea said she loved the video and the heads up:
For the ladies and Iggy.
