While Frank Ragnow is insane for even playing through this, not being allowed to talk is a big thing — for a center especially. Would say he’s doubtful for this week due to his FRACTURED THROAT. https://t.co/ILlvsIXfzu

CelebnSports247.com reports that the Detroit Lions’ center did the unthinkable during week 14 game against the Chicago Bears.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport dropped the news that Ragnow actually suffered a fractured throat in the first quarter of last weekend’s game between the Lions and Packers and actually continues to play and finish that game.
That’s precisely what the Detroit Lions linebacker Frank Ragnow did. Ragnow has played in 44 games over three seasons with Detroit, starting every one.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are consulting with specialists to see how much time Ragnow will need to recover.
OK, some more details on Ragnow’s fractured throat: Lions are consulting with specialists on this right now. His airway/breathing is fine, and he can eat, but he’s not supposed to talk right now. Trying to determine how much time he’ll need to be out.
