This is a major step up from Logan Ryan‘s first NFL contract with the New England Patriots, which was a four-year $2.77 million deal with a $563,252 guarantee.

Ryan is only 26, but the former third-round draft pick is sharing his wealth with his family. He posted a photo to his brother on Instagram of him presenting an over-sized novelty check on his brother’s 29th birthday.

The check is made out to American Education Services for $82,000, along with a message on the check that reads “F*ck Student Loans.”

Logan Ryan added in the post:

“Surprised my big bro and paid off his student loans for his 29th Bday!! My man got accepted to college, graduated with honors, and now works as an engineer. He did everything the right way and still lives with a ridiculous amount of student loan debt.The system is broke and makes no sense!! The way that Logan presented the check allows him to write this off as charity for tax purposes. Smart move Logan.
