Its official Mario Williams Signs 2 Year Contract With Dolphins, Williams reach agreement on two-year deal after being cut by the Bills on March 1!!!
Get the details on Mario Williams, who is swapping snow for sunshine on the flip…
The former Buffalo Bills defensive end is heading south to Miami aka Dolphin territory after visiting Miami on Saturday, CelebNSports247.com has learned!
ESPN reports:
The deal carries an average annual value of $8 million, according to NFL.com. The contract is expected to be finalized Wednesday when the new league year begins.
Mario Williams was set to make $19.9 million in 2016 for the Bills, his fifth year of a six-year contract. But the No. 1 pick in the 2006 NFL Draft recorded only five sacks in 15 games last season after averaging 13 sacks in his three previous campaigns. Part of that decline may have been new Bills coach Rex Ryan’s defensive scheme, which had Williams frequently drop into pass coverage.

Regardless, Williams’ performance led the Bills to decide the $12.9 million in freed salary cap space was of better use for left tackle Cordy Glenn, who will earn $13.7 million next season if he doesn’t reach a long-term deal by July 15.
Williams, 31, is expected to be a valuable addition to a Dolphins team that tied for 25th in the NFL with 31 sacks last year. Miami could also move on from defensive end Olivier Vernon — who is set to become a free agent — and 34-year-old linebacker Cameron Wake, who is coming off a torn Achilles tendon.
Williams’ new contract is expected to pay him around $8 million per year, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Congrats goes out to Mario Williams, good luck with the Dolphins!
