He pleaded guilty to a December DUI charge and now he’s behind bars in Arizona. Michael Floyd originally faced seven charges for his drunken driving arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona. Luckily, Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office was willing to dropped six other charges against Floyd as part of a plea deal.

The 27-year-old was given a 120-day sentence. However, the first 24 days being served at a county jail facility. ESPN states the other part of his sentence involves “96 as home detention — $5,115.99 worth of fines and fees, admittance to a court-directed alcohol-education program and 30 hours of community service.”

In the meantime, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy released this statement:

“We have been monitoring developments but have no further comment at this time.”

The Patriots did not immediately return a request for comment. This is the second DUI charge for Floyd, who landed his first driving under the influence while at Notre Dame in 2011. The Arizona Cardinals cut the receiver after the arrest, he was picked up by the Patriots days later. Though he was inactive for Super Bowl LI.

This literally threw a wrench in the 6-foot-2, former first-round pick. His 2016 stats were 37 catches for 488 yards and four touchdowns.
