CelebNSports247.com has learned that Michael Jordan penned a statement for The Undefeated saying he’s also angered by the “cowardly and hateful targeting and killing of police officers.”
We are all angry with the police brutality on Blacks, but killing innocent police offers in retaliation is WRONG on too many levels!
Now MJ is taking it upon himself to do something about the mindless killing. Jordan says he can no longer stay silent, so he is using his money to make a statement.
Jordan wants to make sure everyone is protected from Black Americans to police who protect and serve.
Michael writes:
“I am making contributions of $1 million each to two organizations — the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s newly established Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.”
“Although I know these contributions alone are not enough to solve the problem, I hope the resources will help both organizations make a positive difference.”
“We need to find solutions that ensure people of color receive fair and equal treatment AND that police officers – who put their lives on the line every day to protect us all – are respected and supported.”
