The New England Patriots overcame the biggest deficit in Super Bowl history defeating the Atlanta Falcons in a first time historic overtime game. But now the players are lining up to NOT go to The White House. Devin McCourty is NOT going to meet with President Donald Trump!
Read more on why New England Patriots Devin McCourty has just announced that he’s NOT going to the White House…
CelebNSports247.com has just learned that Safety Devin McCourty, a Patriots team captain, Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro pick this year, affirmed he won’t be heading to DC.
We previously told you, following the historic win on Sunday at Super Bowl LI, Patriots tight-end Martellus Bennett said he will not be meeting with the president at the White House. Now, Devin McCourty is following suit, saying he didn’t feel accepted in the White House.
The first round pick out of Rutgers University, McCourty told Time in a text message:
“I’m not going to the White House. Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”
He added:
“If you see something you feel is wrong in society, why not help out? Why not raise awareness.”
This all leads back to Colin Kaepernick sitting down during the National Anthem. Martellus Bennett and Devin McCourty may not have sat down, but they are speaking loud by NOT going to the White House.
We are just waiting for Donald Trump to say something petty, like he always does.
