NFL BITES: Panthers FIRE Ron Rivera; Seahawks New Edition Tribute!
The Carolina Panthers decided not to wait until the end of the season to evaluate their coaching staff.
Nope, instead of letting Ron Rivera stay through the holiday, the Panther decided to part ways with their head coach today. Read on to see why the Panthers FIRED Ron Rivera…
CelebNSports247.com reports that the Carolina Panthers did something most NFL team wait to do after the holiday season.
The Panthers are currently 5-7 on the season, three games out of the final wild-card spot. Ron Rivera went 79-63-1 in his nine seasons with Carolina. And he was 3-4 in 4 playoff appearances, including one Super Bowl appearance in 2015.
With that said, it’s out with the old and in with the new. That is why the Panthers secondary coach Perry Fewell has been named the Panthers’ interim head coach.
We wonder if Ron Rivera got a Christmas card that read as follows:
Merry Christmas head coach Ron Rivera oh yeah, you’ve been fired! Happy holidays, from the Panthers.
