League owners already had a decision to make in regards to fans who felt players were disrespecting the country by kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem.
Earlier this year, the league set out new guidelines on an Anthem policy that will require players to “show respect for the flag and the Anthem” while on the field. But now, they’ve filed a grievance challenging the league’s new national anthem policy. Continue on…
CelebNSports247.com has the latest regarding the new guidelines on an Anthem policy since the NFLPA has filed a grievance challenging the league’s new anthem policy.
Not many players were happy about it and spoke against it. It appears that the NFLPA is supporting the players in this matter.
The grievance reads as follows:
Our union filed its non-injury grievance today on behalf of all players challenging the NFL’s recently imposed anthem policy. The union’s claim is that this new policy, imposed by the NFL’s governing body without consultation with the NFLPA, is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement and infringes on player rights.
In advance of our filing today, we proposed to the NFL to begin confidential discussions with the NFLPA Executive Committee to find a solution to this issue instead of immediately proceeding with litigation. The NFL has agreed to proceed with those discussions and we look forward to starting them soon.
What Trump and others seem to continue NOT to understand is that Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem was NOT against the anthem. His kneeling stood for one thing, and that was to raise awareness for racial and social injustice in America.
Trump and others have taken Kaepernick’s awareness and twisted the truth to suit their propaganda needs.
