Nick Diaz Arrested + Charged for Domestic Battery by StrangulationCelebNSports247.com learned that the victim was transported to a local hospital, and Diaz was combative with officers during his arrest.

Nick Diaz was charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, as well as misdemeanor domestic battery for the alleged incident involving a female victim.

TMZ reports:

Diaz’s accuser claims she’s been in an “on-again, off-again sexual relationship” with Nick for years. But it took a turn for the worse in the last few days … because she claims Nick has been using cocaine.

The woman told police Nick attacked her at a Las Vegas home Thursday night … slamming her to the ground and choking her by the neck. Cops were called to the home and found the alleged victim with red marks around her neck and eyes. We’re told the woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for multiple injuries. We’re told the victim claimed she suffered a hip injury in the altercation with Diaz.

Here is what FrontRowBrian posted on Las Vegas Metro PD sources reporting about Nick Diaz:

  • -The victim has a broken hip
  • -Nick allegedly choked her unconscious.
  • -Then he fought the police which is why 12 cars were sent
  • -Then fought the CO’s inside Clark Co Detention Center

The UFC said in a statement released Friday [via MMAJunkie], well aware of the situation:

The organization does not tolerate domestic violence and requires all athletes to adhere to the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. Every athlete is deserving of due process, and this situation, as with any official allegations, will be duly reviewed and thoroughly investigated by an independent party.

As for Diaz, the 34-year-old MMA fighter hasn’t fought since Jan. 31, 2015, when he lost to Anderson Silva at UFC 183. Unfortunately, the fight was overturned to a no-contest because Silva tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and Diaz tested positive for marijuana.
