CelebNSports247.com reports on Tuesday, a five-member committee of the Nevada Athletic Commission voted in favor of a settlement agreement that will see Nurmagomedov + Mcgregor suspended and fined.
Khabib Nurmagomedov landed a nine-month suspension and a $500,000 fine for his involvement in the UFC 229 brawl after he destroyed McGregor in the Octagon.
The UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was not in attendance for the hearing.
His manager Ali Abdelaziz told MMA journalist Ariel Helwani that he didn’t believe the financial aspect punishment was above board. This is not the first time Ali has been vocal about the brawl, he fired back at Conor’s detailing on the incident.
Meanwhile, UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor also got punished for his involvement with a 6-month suspension and a $50K fine.
Conor was not present either on Tuesday’s meeting.
