CelebNSports247.com has learned that former Oregon Ducks cornerback Luke Hill, 18, was charged and arrested this week.
According to the statement of charges, filed in the District Court for Prince George’s County (Maryland), Luke Hill is charged with the following: possession of firearm (minor), handgun on person, use of assault weapon/magazine, firearm use (felony – violent crime), reckless endangerment, first-degree assault and attempted murder in the first degree.
Luke Hill was booked into Prince George County Jail in Maryland and is scheduled for a preliminary court hearing on June 19, 2020.
In a statement, Oregon coach Mario Cristobal clarified Hill’s status, indicating the two parties had parted ways earlier this year.
The Oregon Ducks coach said this in his statement:
He was informed earlier this spring that he would not be a member of our program.
Hill originally signed with the Ducks after turning down offers from programs including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Maryland, Oklahoma and Penn State.
He was ranked as a four-star recruit and as the 15th-best cornerback in the country by 247Sports.
