BREAKING: Former Paralympic and Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius of South Africa, was hospitalized in Pretoria, South Africa, on Thursday morning.

CelebNSports247.com has received word via a correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo told The Citizen:

“We can state that offender Oscar Pistorius was taken to an outside hospital facility this morning for a medical examination.”

It was also reported by SAfm News that Pistorius was being treated for a possible heart condition.

As for Pistorius condition in the hospital at this time comes for a family spokesperson Johan van Wyk. He revealed to The Citizen that Pistorius was “okay.”

SAfm also took to social media to bring fans up to date on his condition:

“Correctional Services department confirms Oscar Pistorius being treated for possible heart condition in Kalafong hospital outside Pretoria.”

USA Today reports:

Pistorius has been behind bars since July of last year, and a South African judge denied his appeal later that summer. Although, personnel at the Atteridgeville Prison initially grew concerned when they realized that Pistorius was suffering from heart attack symptoms.

Despite being the first amputee to run track at the Olympics, Pistorius has only completed one year of his six year stint for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
