CelebnSports247.com previously reported that Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib became the first active NFL player to come out as gay on Monday.
Now, out and proud NFL’er Carl Nassib who said he was NOT doing the for CLOUT has made the Raiders the pioneer team with an openly gay player.
Maybe more NFL stars will decided to follow his lead and be honest to themselves in the near future. We hope you all don’t think that Carl is the only gay NFL player.
It’s about time the more NFL player come out as gay to prove to ALL Americans that being gay doesn’t make you less of a man in anyway.
Gay for a lot of men is just who they are attracted to in the bedroom and there is nothing wrong with that. There are many types of gay men – you have your queens, queers, femme, twinks, bears, thugs, B-boys, and just the average man who is into sports.
Remember 97.4% of men identified as heterosexual, 1.6% as homosexual and 0.9% as bisexual. That means 1 in 10 men are gay in every scenario. That would mean that out of the 32 teams in the NFL, with a total of 1,696 players a possible 169 players are either gay or bisexual.
Yes, that is the statistic.
On Monday, Nassib posted:
I’m at my house here in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I just want to take a quick moment to say that I’m gay. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now, but I finally feel comfortable enough to get it off my chest.
Reaction to Nassib’s announcement was immediate throughout the NFL and sports world overall. Less than 24 hours after his announcement, he now has the top-selling jersey across fanatics.
He even got the support from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league “is proud of Carl for courageously sharing his truth today.”
