The former Stanford Cardinal standout has long been an advocate for mental health awareness as he launched a nonprofit foundation, The Defensive Line Foundation, in 2021 in honor of his late sister Ella.
The foundation aims to bring awareness to mental health and prevent youth suicides. He also donated $8,000 for every sack he recorded in 2021.
Brown was asked if he was ever diagnosed with a mental health issue. “I never had a mental health diagnosis, you know what I mean?” he says. “I never had an issue or problem. I don’t take pills. I just got a high IQ.”
