If you recall this week, Brown told Gumbel speaking of the Buccs:

These guys at Tampa Bay Bucs tried to make an agreement with me to give me $200,000 to go to the crazy house so these guys could look like they know what they talking about.

He later added:

I have mental wealth.

Those comments really upset Solomon Thomas.

The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Solomon Thomas blasted the former Bucs wide receiver for his insensitivity via his Instagram story.

Lawyer is worried about a disservice to those who struggle from mental health. While his client is calling a mental health institution a ‘crazy house.’ Please do not disrespect those who are trying to be better. Be better.

The former Stanford Cardinal standout has long been an advocate for mental health awareness as he launched a nonprofit foundation, The Defensive Line Foundation, in 2021 in honor of his late sister Ella.

The foundation aims to bring awareness to mental health and prevent youth suicides. He also donated $8,000 for every sack he recorded in 2021.
Brown was asked if he was ever diagnosed with a mental health issue. “I never had a mental health diagnosis, you know what I mean?” he says. “I never had an issue or problem. I don’t take pills. I just got a high IQ.”
