Rams Eric Weddle Shows Brutally Torn Pec From Super Bowl!
During the Super Bowl, Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle certainly laid it all out on the table to get himself a ring, but wait until you see what he was suffering through to get that ring…
CelebnSports247.com reports that Eric Weddle is now a Super Bowl champion and will go down in history, but he suffered another injury to make it happen.
The safety retired at the end of the 2019 season but officially came out of retirement on January 12th to help the Rams during the playoffs following injuries in the secondary.
Weddle played throughout this postseason and even started in the NFC Championship against the 49ers where he led the team with nine total tackles. That was nothing compared to what he did in the Super Bowl.
Weddle said after the win, via NFL.com:
Yes, I’m re-retiring…I’ll go back to my daily life. Pretty banged up right now, but hey, it’s well worth it. Well worth the moment.
Weddle noted that he suffered a torn pectoral in the winning effort. A picture would soon surface showing just how bad it was and he somehow played three quarters like that.
He’s probably in some pain, but the glory of being a champion should take some of the sting away.
Weddle was a second-round pick of the then-San Diego Chargers in 2007 and spent eight seasons with the franchise before spending three years with the Baltimore Ravens.
