We actually agree with, former RB great Ray Lewis, who is demanding that anyone caught with illegal firearms should get a MANDATORY 25 year prison sentence.
TMZ reports:
The ex-NFL superstar was going off about gun violence in the U.S. — specifically in Chicago — when he offered up his solution to stop the shooting.
Lewis said:
“I would put barrels on each corner and I would give you 30 days to drop all illegal weapons in these barrels.”
“And if you found yourself going outside of that, the moment I found you with ’em that’s 25 years MANDATORY.”
FYI — first time offenders caught with an illegal gun in Illinois face up to a 1 year behind bars … so Ray’s plan is much more severe to say the least.
By the way, we did a little digging and found that a gun amnesty program in the U.K. back in 2003 netted 40,000 guns and close to 1,000,000 rounds of ammo.

We wonder how Ray Lewis feels about the newly announced Gun Shopping Channel that kicked off on GunTV. Yeah just what America needed, some more BS, so people can shoot each other.
GunTV launches six hours of daily programming dedicated exclusively to firearms and related products and services last week.
On “Varney & Co” today, GunTV co-founder Valerie Castle explained how the network will provide “a very fluid” consumer experience.
Castle told Stuart Varney:
“You can log on to GunTV.tv when our new website launches simultaneously with our on-air launch … you call our toll free number and speak to any of our customer experience representatives,”
“They are going to take your order. They are going to ask you for your zip code. They are going to pull up a list of federally-licensed firearms dealers that are reputable brick and mortar retailers.”
She explained that once a transaction is concluded, the fulfillment partner ships the weapon to the local dealer and a notification is sent to the customer letting them know the firearm has arrived. The consumer can then pick up the firearm after the completion of all paperwork and a routine background check.
The big question will this solve the illegal gun problem or add to it?
We know, much of the illegal action in America is government created to bring in more revenue to our country. Without pain and suffer, there is no glory. Huh?
