Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers despite the feeling that he “thought I was going to die” he will play in Tuesday’s Game 2 against the Warriors.
Continue on to get more on Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers being taken out of commission with the flu…
CelebNSports247.com reports that the 24-year-old Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers had to sit out Game 1 with a flu and stomach virus.
Despite Austin Rivers saying that he will play during Tuesday’s game against the Warriors, Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said that was still to be determined by how well his progress.
Rivers said:
I thought I was going to die. Seriously. I had a 24-hour flu and then I had a stomach virus. I couldn’t get out of my bed without going to the bathroom. It was like every five, 10 minutes, I had to go to the bathroom or had to throw up. Anything I had to eat or drink wouldn’t last long. Running or jumping were not really an option.
In 47 regular season games (13 starts) with Houston, Rivers averaged 8.7 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.9 rebounds in 28.6 minutes per game.
Game 2 against the Warriors is scheduled for tomorrow night at Oracle. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
We will see if Rivers will make it to the court.
