CelebnSports247.com reports that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s latest social media changes give off some major Washington Commanders vibes.
Though Wilson has spent his entire NFL career in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up in The DMV. The Virginia native played his first three college seasons at NC State before playing that one last year at Wisconsin. But before he became a college star, Wilson was a three-sport athlete at the Collegiate School in Richmond.
And he reminded everyone on Twitter of that as he changed his profile pic from him in a Seahawks uniform to one of his prep days in Virginia.
If Wilson is traded from the Seahawks to Washington DC, the Commander may be the team to beat in the 2022 season. The Commanders could become the new team to beat in the NFC East over the Dallas Cowboys. They would immediately become a favorite to get to Super Bowl 57 in Glendale. Seattle would get drat picks, but no doubt about it, this franchise would be heading towards a most painful rebuild.
Presently, Washington is tied with Detroit for the longest active NFC Championship Game appearance drought at over 30 years. If Wilson were to go to Washington, he would play for a proven head coach in Ron Rivera, one who has won a Super Bowl as a player and guided another team to one as a head coach.
This could be the move so Russell can get that ring!
