CelebnSports247.com reports Soon after the Colts traded for Matt Ryan, the New Orleans Saints made the decision to re-sign Jameis Winston.
Financial details were not announced but the deal has a base value of $28 million, including $21 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday. Jameis Winston can make up to $44 million with incentives, a source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
This clearly marks him as the New Orleans Saints starting QB for the 2022 season following their flirtation with other options.

The Saints were one of many teams who lost out on the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes, so bringing back Jameis was a no-brainer.
In 2021, Winston appeared in eight games for the Saints and threw for 1,114 yards to go with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions.
