Sorry Celtics...Kyrie Irving is Opting Out

Earlier today it was reported that the Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is choosing to opt out instead of re-signing with the with the team.

That means that Kyrie Irving is passing on their $21.3 million offer and would rather try his luck in free agency. Read on to see the cryptic message of Kyrie Irving Opting Out reports that Kyrie Irving, who tends to be a little more out there than most NBA stars decided to channel his inner Mother Theresa.

If you are like WTF is going on with Irving right about now, no worries this will all make sense shortly. It appears we were right about Irving NOT staying with the Celtics.

Kyrie Irving still has the option to take the team’s offer, but we will see how this all plays out for the NBA star.

Check out Kyrie’s caption:

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. -Mother Teresa

After reading this, Kyrie is definitely out there. Not only that, but this post doesn’t help with the perception that he’s a strange one.

It doesn’t matter to him, he doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
