CelebnSports247.com reports that Stephen A. says in the clip, as footage of Kawhi Leonard and Kyrie Irving appear on screen, “players missing games for reasons that have nothing to do with injury was not Kobe Bryant.”
Smith, who thinks he’s the best sport reporter goes on to say:
Players collecting paychecks without regard to regular season participation, that was not Kobe Bryant. Players prioritizing any and everything but championships, that was not Kobe Bryant.
It didn’t take long for Stephen A. Smith to start receiving a series of people BLASTING Smith for making an example out of Kobe’s legacy at the expense of current players.
