CelebNSports247.com reports that a bunch of teams around the league that have $50-plus million to spend on the open market are all eyes on New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
Teddy Bridgewater, 27, is vying to get a starting QB job after stepping in and going undefeated while Drew Brees was out in 2019.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Bridgewater’s market is expected to pay him around $30 million annually.
Bridgewater threw for 1,205 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions after Brees suffered a torn ligament in his right thumb.
Positioning Bridgewater as a franchise quarterback would still be risky, given the gruesome knee injury he suffered back in 2016 that disrupted his entire career.
Note, there are a bunch of quarterbacks hungry teams that could use him right now.
