CelebnSports247.com reports that the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers might be leading the field in the race to acquire Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Some reports are claiming that a Mayfield trade may come with a discount tag since he continues to be passed over.
It was reported that free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick was working out in New Orleans in hopes to get back in the NFL with the Saints. See, Colin Kaepernick accepted a New Orleans Saints wide receiver’s invitation to work out together Monday. Kaep accepted Jalen McCleskey’s invitation to work out at Edna Karr High School in New Orleans. He hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016.
The workout comes as the New Orleans Saints quarterback position hangs in the balance, according to WDSU. But it appears, the New Orleans Saints have their eye on Baker Mayfield.
So far, we’ve already seen three notable veterans traded to new teams, as Carson Wentz was dealt to the Commanders, Russell Wilson went to the Broncos and Deshaun Watson was shipped off to the Browns. The Steelers also added a new signal-caller by signing Mitch Trubisky to a two-year deal in free agency. Less than one week into the new league year, four teams already have new starters.
More are on the way. The biggest names might already have moved, but there are still a number of teams that either need a quarterback or would consider an upgrade under center. Some of those could turn to the draft in April, according to ESPN.
