Twins to Sign Carlos Correa To 3-year $105.3M Deal!

If you were wondering what was up with Puerto Rican baller and former Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa and where he was heading, its to the Minnesota Twins

CelebnSports247.com has received word via USA TODAY Sports Major League Baseball columnist Bob Nightengale that the Minnesota Twins have just made a major move.

Nightengale reports:

Shocker: Carlos Correa signs with the #Twins for 3 years, $105.3 million, per @MarkBermanFox26 Opt outs first 2 years.

The Twins continued a monster week of transactions by adding one of the top free agents on the market, agreeing to a three-year, $105.3 million contract with free-agent shortstop Carlos Correa, a source told MLB.com’s Jon Paul Morosi on Friday night.

MLB reports:

The contract includes opt-outs after each of the first two years of the deal. The club has not confirmed the agreement.

Correa may not have performed up to his usual standards during the shortened 2020 season but produced a huge postseason and then carried that into his contract year. He made his second All-Star team in 2021 and batted .279/.366/.485 (131 OPS+) with 26 home runs, 34 doubles, 92 RBIs and 104 runs scored.
