CelebNSports247.com has the latest from Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu who has CHECKED American Football Executive Bill Polian for being wrong about who he is as a player and as a man.
If you recall, seven years ago, the Arizona Cardinals took a chance on Tyrann Mathieu in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Mathieu was a former Heisman Trophy finalist who had been dismissed from LSU due to a violation of the school and team’s substance-abuse policy.
Bill Polian felt “he wasn’t worth the risk” and has “proven to be irresponsible.” He went on to say he was a “poor teammate and a poor risk.” He didn’t “understand why anyone would want him.”
IN 2013 Polian said that he would take Mathieu off the board because “he showed disrespect for his teammates and in the locker room.”
Well, Bill Polian can eat crow because he was 100% WRONG about his comments and can now look a fool.
Mathieu is coming off a Super Bowl win with the Chiefs. He’s been named first-team All-Pro twice and has been recognized for his work in the community with the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation … and in the locker room by earning multiple captaincies.
Mathieu saw the video on Monday and had an answer for Polian.
Honey Badger had this to say:
That’s the least of my accomplishments, I take care my family, my children. Gave $1M to The same program that dismissed me, started a foundation that is fairly active & GENUINE. Voted team captain for 3 Different franchises, not teams. I wish my granny was standing on side me.
