CelebNSports247.com reports that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green doesn’t believe anyone will be talking about this, but we will.
This is one of the moments that Golden State Warriors Shaun Livingston gets his shining moment in the spotlight of sports thanks to his teammate Draymond Green.
Tonight during game 2 it was Shaun Livingston’s catch on the assist to Andre Iguodala’s game-sealing shot, and the impact of DeMarcus Cousins and shutting down Pascal Siakam after a Game 2 win over the Toronto Raptors.
Draymond praised Shaun Livingston’s receiving ability on the final Warriors’ possession.
ESPN reported Draymond, who spoke during the press conference about his teammate Shaun saying (video above):
I always call Shaun a bad receiver. He turned into Megatron tonight for that pass.
The LA Times breaks down the final moments to give you a visual:
Down just two points, they trapped Stephen Curry, the mid-court line acting as a third defender. He somehow slipped through and threw a pass toward Shaun Livingston. Kawhi Leonard reacted and was so close to intercepting it that Pascal Siakam started to run in the other direction.
The pass barely made it through and Livingston, in maybe the most important moment of the night, found the most open player on the court, Andre Iguodala. And with the game’s final seconds ticking away, Iguodala hit a game-icing three-pointer. Their 109-104 win in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.
