CelebnSports247.com reports that its unclear which name the Washington Football Team will go with at this point.
But there are some names that don’t make any sense like Aces, Belters, Brigade, and Rising. WTH are those about?
The list was NOT meant to be a new team name vote, according to WFT execs, but rather a way for the organization to get a feel for what names were important to its fanbase.
The Demon Cats is one of 30 names WFT officials sent out to season ticket holders to evaluate this week. They asked fans to weigh in on names like Redtails, Red Hogs, and Washington DC Football Club (DCFC).
WFT officials have said they’d like to have a new nickname in place for 2022. And, they’ve reiterated multiple times they could just stick with WFT.
The names CelebnSports247.com likes are; Red Wolves, Guardians, Razorbacks, and our thought DC Wolves or DC Defenders.
Doesn’t this sound better The Washington DC Wolves or Washington DC Defenders?
