Washington Football Team New Name Leaks Via DC News Helicopter!
On Wednesday, the Washington Football Team will reveal its new name, forging a fresh identity for an NFL franchise known for 83 years as the Redskins.
Unfortunately for them, the public already knows what the name will be after a DC news chopper zoomed in on the team facility, and revealed a big photo with the “Commanders” logo in the building…
CelebnSports247.com reports that Sports Center Anchor Darren M. Haynes took to social media to post the video leak of the Washington Football Teams new name.
What do you think of the Washington “Commanders” since the “Red Skins” was deemed offensive to native Indians in the USA.

In selecting the name, team officials have held focus groups and received more than 40,000 submissions from fans. Commanders is not a well liked name, so this did not come from the fanbase.
On an ESPN podcast last September, team CEO Tanya Snyder confirmed the names of eight unofficial finalists: Armada, Brigade, Commanders, Defenders, Presidents, Red Hogs, Red Wolves and the Washington Football Team.
Team president Jason Wright has stated last month that Red Wolves is no longer in the running because of trademark issues.
Earlier this week, former Washington quarterback Joe Theismann appeared to confirm the Commanders would be the new name.
Theismann told Damon Amendolara on CBS Sports Radio:
I think the Commanders is a name that is going to be one that hopefully people like going forward…There were so many different options, but once again it’s trademark infringement — it’s getting approval from different people. If you choose a name, is there a group out there that isn’t going to like it?
