CelebNSports247.com got word via photographer Mark J. Rebilas who snapped this photo of Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch sitting.

Marshawn Lynch decided to take a seat during the national anthem prior to the team’s 20-10 loss to the Cardinals in their preseason opener.

This was Lynch’s first game back since the 2015 season, he was dressed in uniform but did not play. Instead of standing for the song, he sat on a cooler while holding a banana.

It didn’t take long after Raiders coach Jack Del Rio to weigh in on Marshawn. At the time Del Rio was unaware of Lynch’s intention to sit but said he spoke with the veteran rusher after the game.

Del Rio said:

“(Lynch) said, ‘This is something I’ve done for 11 years. It’s not a form of anything other than me being myself. I said, ‘So you understand how I feel. I very strongly believe in standing for the national anthem, but I’m going to respect you as a man. You do your thing, and we’ll do ours.’ So that’s a non-issue for me.”

What we find interesting is that Lynch stated “I’ve done for 11 years,” but he was NEVER reprimanded by the NFL. Why has Colin Kaepernick been black-balled by the NFL? Was it because Kaep was speaking out in protest against police brutality and racial injustice?

If so, it still shouldn’t affect his chances of playing in the NFL. What Colin has done is give people a voice and hope, but it appears the NFL doesn’t want any of that.

Isn’t it interesting when people do good, they get black-balled, but if he was promotion some BS, raping women or beating women, the NFL would turn their back and hire him. Society is F’d up!
