Of course, everyone was quick to judge, but sitting down during the national anthem has become a way to speak out for athletes. Colin Kaepernick’s movement against social injustice, racism, police brutality and more is still resonating among his peers. Colin may NOT be able to kneel on the field this season, but Michael Bennett can and is!

After the Seahawks’ 48-17 win, Bennett explained why he sat for the national anthem, via Gregg Bell of the News Tribune Bennett confirmed he will be sitting for every anthem in 2017, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Bennett said when asked about his decision to sit:

“With everything that’s been going on the last couple of months, and especially after the last couple of days seeing what’s going on in Virginia, and earlier today in Seattle. I just wanted to be able to use my platform to be able to continuously speak on injustice.”

In case you’re unaware of what the Seahawks Michael Bennett is speaking about, here we go. We guess the KKK has renamed themselves as white nationalist. Whatever, their, still white supremacist (KKK) no matter how they spin it.

Basically, white supremacist decided to have a white nationalist rally, but things got out of control and 3 people were killed and 35 injured. The deaths are linked to white nationalist rally in Virginia. The person behind the wheel is suspected to be a 20-year-old man from Ohio identified as James Alex Fields, Jr. – He is facing second degree murder charges.

Meanwhile, Vice President Mike Pence condemned the violence in Charlottesville. He stated:

“We have no tolerance for hate and violence from white supremacists, neo-Nazis or the KKK. These dangerous fringe groups have no place in American public life and in the American debate and we condemn them in the strongest possible terms.”

President Donald Trump tweeted:

This is the first time we appreciate the President, because most of the time he’s a dumbass who started this shhh. Trump made the KKK think they have a right to start hating other races in the open again. Racism is at an all time high and white nationalists feel they have a right to hate.
