CelebNSports247.com reports that Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley was a free agent for less than 24-hours because the Atlanta Falcons snatched him up.
It’s being reported that the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year was signing a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, according to Insider/analyst for ESPN and co-host of @PullUpPod, Jordan Schultz.
Schultz reports:
Todd Gurley is signing with the #Falcons, per source. It’s a one-year deal for the 25-year-old running back.

Gurley was drafted by the Rams with the 10th overall pick in 2015. He made three Pro Bowls with the team (in 2015, 2017 and 2018), but he had a down season in 2019 while dealing with nagging knee injuries. He had just signed a 4-year, $60-million contract with the Rams in 2018, making him the highest paid running back in the NFL (at the time).
As for the Falcons, they were in need of a running back after releasing their longtime starter, Devonta Freeman, earlier in the week.
