It’s happening y’all! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has announced that the NFL and XFL have signed a partnership deal with the development of the game in mind.

The Rock says that the XFL is joining the NFL to grow the sport of football.

As an XFL owner, Johnson took to social media saying that he is so honored to announce the partnership between the XFL and NFL.

He states:

Our XFL/NFL relationship runs deep and I’m very happy and motivated for us to align and work closely with the NFL to advance the game we love, through our core XFL principles ~ INNOVATION & PLAYER DEVELOPMENT on and off the field.

And as an XFL owner, my #1 priority will always be taking care of the players and creating as many opportunities as possible for them to live their dreams, passions and take care of their families.

Dwayne says that this merger is about innovation and giving more opportunities to the player development. He says goal will always be to help the players.

It appears that Dwayne Johnson’s series Ballers that ran 5 seasons on HBO was not so far fetched because he is an owner of the XFL. The series seems to have paralleled his real life when it comes to the final season of Ballers.
