Watt has come to the conclusion many foresaw months ago, and he’s now available for hire for the first time in his career after the Houston Texans officially granted his release Friday.
JJ Watt took to his social media stating:
Houston, I wanted you to hear this directly from me…
In his video Watt said:
I want the city of Houston to hear from him that he sat down with the McNear family and asked for his release. He said growing up as a kid from Wisconsin who had never really been to Texas before and now I can’t imagine my life without Texas in it.
JJ goes on to say:
The way that you guys have treated me besides draft night…you guys booed me on draft night…but every day after that you treated me like family. Since that day I feel like you are my family…since that day I have worked to earn and get your respect and try and make you proud and on and off the field. You guys have given me everything and more and I only hope I have given you everything and more.
Watt proudly goes on to state:
The city of Houston has been so great to me…it is where I meant my wife. It’s where I meant lifelong friend in my teammates.
Watt goes on to say that he thanks his coaches, training staff, and more.
Now that JJ Watt has been released from the Houston Texans organization, the big question on everyone’s mind is where will he go next.
