Karl-Anthony Towns Being EYED By Warriors!
Rumors are swirling that Minnesota Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns, who is signed through the 2023-24 season, might be on his way out of town, and headed west. Read on as Karl-Anthony Towns is being EYED by the Warriors…
CelebNSports247.com reports that a new report from Ethan Sherwood Strauss of The Athletic suggests that Karl-Anthony Towns is “unhappy” with his situation in Minnesota.
Not only that, word is, KAT is being EYED by the Golden State Warriors who are watching the situation closely.
Here is what we are hearing about Minnesota Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns:
The Warriors have been monitoring Karl-Anthony Towns’ situation in Minnesota. He’s under contract until 2023-24 but has less reason than Antetokounmpo to be thrilled with his team’s trajectory. This was a topic among multiple team executives at the G League showcase, with a few relaying word that Towns is unhappy in Minnesota. The Wolves currently sit at 13th in the Western Conference, two spots ahead of the gap-year Warriors, looking at another lost season. While the Wolves might dream of a scenario where Russell teams up with his good friend Towns, the Warriors have a differing vision of how a trade between the two franchises could seek out.
Karl-Anthony Towns, the 24-year-old center is currently averaging 26.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists on 51/42/80 shooting, but the Timberwolves sit at 12-20 on the season.
Meanwhile, Golden State has reached the NBA Finals in each of the past five seasons—winning three championships—but Kevin Durant has since left town and Klay Thompson, as well as Stephen Curry, are injured. It’s unlikely that any of them will return during a lost season.
The Warriors are last in the Western Conference at 9-25, which puts them 5.5 games out of a playoff spot.
It’s a huge change from last year.
