Ezekiel Elliott Hold Out Backfires; Replaced By Alfred Morris

Did Ezekiel Elliott hold out just backfire and open the door for  him to be replaced with Alfred Morris  by The Cowboys?

A little over a week back Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has privately told those around him he plans to hold out of training camp unless he gets a new contract.

The plan sounded like a good idea, that is if you’re Ezekiel Elliott, but now the plan seems to have backfired for the star RB. Read on…

CelebNSports247.com reports not long ago Dallas had another stud ball carrier in DeMarco Murray. His absence opened the door for Elliott. And, now it appears Ezekiel has put himself on the replaceable list.

Ezekiel Elliott has been holding out by heading down to Cabo San Lucas, where the two-time Pro Bowler rocked a dark hoodie and sunglasses as he made his way through an airport in Mexico.

What we are hearing is that there are discussions between Elliott’s agent and the Cowboys, both parties “have swapped proposals, but sources indicate that nothing is close at the moment.”

While Zeke is soaking up the summer rays in Cabo living his best life, the Cowboys are pressing forward and NOT looking back.

On Monday, the Cowboys announced the signing of veteran running back Alfred Morris, hours after Jones sent a scathing message to prized player Ezekiel Elliott, as his contract holdout from training camp continues.

Let’s NOT forget that Morris is the same man who previously filled in for Elliott in 2017 when the running back served his six-game suspension over domestic violence allegations.

And it appears the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t playing around because he is planning on replacing Zeke again. Morris, who signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys, like the one he did with the from 2016-2017.

Basically, it doesn’t matter to the Dallas Cowboys that rushed for an NFL-best 1,434 yards last season.

Elliott is set to make $3.85 million in 2019 and just over $9 million in 2020.

It was previously reported that he was leaving the country a minute back.
