CelebNSports247.com reports that rescue workers rushed to the car and worked for minutes to get it upright and get Ryan Newman out of the car.
According to reports, Sitting in first place during the final lap, Ryan Newman appeared to be headed for the checkered flag and his second Daytona 500 victory when disaster struck.
Heading into the final turn, Ryan Blaney appeared to be looking to pass Newman, first one the outside, then on the inside, when suddenly he seemed to clip the back of Newman’s car, sending the No. 6 Ford crashing into the wall before flipping on its hood and going up in flames.

Thankfully, Ryan Newman survived and will be able to race again. His injuries were non-life threatening, according to reports!
